We have to admit there
are no fashion events on April 12nd for the FuoriSalone, but this
can't stop you from taking a walk to the University of Milan and
Brera district, two of the main areas that have always been
the symbol of creativity during Milan Design Week.

The most important names
in architecture and design come togheter in the courtyard of the
University of Milan in the exhibition event HYBRID
ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN by INTERNI magazine. Different cultures
and technologies mix themselves in the projects that provide a
plausible answer to the problems of the contemporary world.
Internationally renowned architects and designers were asked to
express their views making spectacular and experimental installations
with the support of leading companies in the field of materials,
technology and environmental sustainability. Absolutely one of the
must-see events of the Design Week.

We start the cultural
evening with the conference open to the public "BUILDING
THE LIGHT" organized by iGuzzini, in which the
archi-star Daniel Libeskind, Dean Skira and Giancarlo Basili will
discuss about the "heavy and solid" concept of architecture
practice and the intangibility of light.

If you aren't into design
and you just want to stay out for an evening walk you can enjoy the
Brera Design Night. A night dedicated to design in the heart
of the bohemian chic district of Milan with opened shops and
showrooms to enliven the streets of the neighborhood.

Among the Brera District
events, go and celebrate the 150th anniversary of Martini with
Visual art installations and live performances from electro to
Scandinavian new wave sounds while you're toasting with Martini
Royale. For the less vip, but more "pop"persons Martini celebrates its 150 years anniversary with MARTINI POP ART GALLERY in Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi, 65. A multidisciplinary workshop in partnership with NABA, an exhibition and performance space open to all to experience the Martini Heritage with aperitif time at 7,00 pm.
